Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten cares for each student and their family. Your child will experience a safe, stimulating environment with the opportunity to discover new friends, develop an understanding of ‘school life’ and experience real life learning.
Learning environment
Our Kindergarten classrooms are technologically rich and feature computers, data projectors and interactive whiteboards, in addition to a separate playground, undercover sandpit and bathroom facilities.
StaffÂ
We have three qualified staff working with each class, including a dedicated teacher and two dynamic teacher assistants. Parents are also welcome to sit in on classes and assist with classroom activities.
We aim to prepare our Kindergarten students for school life and provide them with a solid foundation and love of learning. We provide children with a sound introduction to fundamental literacy and numeracy.
Kindergarten classes are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and enjoy programs for specialist teachers who visit the Kindergarten classrooms for Music, Japanese and Health and Physical Education. A typical Kindergarten day might consist of a morning meeting, guided play, story time, daily fitness, learning circle time, rest and relaxation, songs and games etc.
The College has two Kindergarten classes (Kinder Bears and Kinder Mice), running three days a week. The Kinder Bears are from Monday to Wednesday, and the Kinder Mice are from Wednesday to Friday. Class runs from 9.00am-3.00pm, with the classroom open from 8.30am.
