Canteen & Uniform Shop

There are two canteens at Dominic College (one for Primary students and one for Secondary students) which are operated by the Alliance catering company.

Both canteens offer standard daily items complemented by a variety of cyclical ‘specials’. The menus have recently been redesigned to increase the number of items on the cyclical menu, increasing the variety of the fresh home style ranges.

The canteens are open during lunch and recess, with pre-ordering available.

Girl's formal uniform Uniform Shop

All items of the College uniform, together with a range of ancillary wear, are obtainable through the College Uniform Shop, located opposite the Dezani Design Centre on the College’s property.

Clothing prices, in general, are considerably lower than those of other commercial outlets and a range of second-hand clothing is also available.

 

The Uniform Shop is open throughout the school term:

  • Monday, Tuesday and Friday: 8.00am – 10.00am
  • Wednesday and Thursday: 2.00pm – 4.00pm

 

Uniform requirements

Students are required to wear the formal school uniform to and from school each day. Students may wear the full sports uniform to and from school, only if they have PE that day or have been specifically advised to wear sports uniform for an excursion etc.

The College blazer is introduced as a compulsory item from Year 5. Kindergarten students are required to wear the sports uniform only, with the formal uniform being introduced in Prep.

The compulsory formal and sports uniform requirements are outlined in the student diary, along with a code of personal appearance which outlines requirements for hair, jewellery, cosmetics etc. The Code of Personal Appearance requires students to accept that they are at school to learn and that they have a collective responsibility for the public image of the College. Where students are perceived to be in viola­tion of this code, they will be required to amend their appearance. Students are expected to wear the College uniform with pride and maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
