Christmas Eve Mass in the Chapel

Once again, Old Scholars and their families gathered in the Dominic Chapel for the traditional Mass on Christmas Eve, beginning with carols at 9.30pm lead by the beautiful choir with thanks to Ann Loring at the helm, ably assisted by Tony Gregs on keyboard.

Dominic College Rector, Fr. Peter Rankin celebrated the Mass, beginning with a candlelight entrance procession. The special atmosphere and congregation's singing was again a highlight.

During the Mass, Fr. Peter blessed the new Stations of the Cross and turned on their backlights for all to appreciate. The collection for the Br Peter Dezani Scholarship Fund raised over $270. Old scholars from pre-2003 will recall the painted windows of the Savio Chapel, lost in the fire. New Stations have now been installed, reproduced from 35mm slides of the originals, in a contemporary display.

Many attendees joined together upstairs in the White House for some refreshments and a chat and catch up afterwards.

Thank you to everyone who came along, in the spirit of Christmas and Br Peter.
