Dominic old scholars feature in GYC awards

On Thursday 16 March, Guilford Young College held their Commendation Ceremony for students who were outstanding achievers in 2016. Many of the recipients were Dominic College Old Scholars.

Ms Michelle Harris was Master of Ceremonies, and awards were presented by The Most Reverend Julian Porteous DD assisted by Mr Craig Deayton, GYC Principal.

Three Dominic College students were in GYC's top 10 students by Tertiary Entrance Score:
Jake Newland, Niam Askey-Doran and Jessica Fitzpatrick. Well done!

Subject Award winners included Niam Askey-Doran, Jade Davidson, Brendan Davis-Smith, Jessica Fitzpatrick, Hannah Goldsworthy, Madison Hodge, Jake Newland, Elizabeth Robinson, Samuel Wakefield, Dillon Wilson, and Stacie Young.

VET Award winners included: Felicity Shadbolt, Montanna Cate, Georgia Perry, James Banks, and Laura Clear.

Ex-College Vice-captain, Felicia Di Carlo deserves special congratulations, for awards for Exceptional Commitment and Contribution to the life of the College, Outstanding Contribution to the Faith Life of the College, Outstanding Contribution to Sport, and the Pierre de Coubertin Award.
