Science Week at Dominic

This year as part of Science Week we decided our senior students would create hands-on wow-but-fun Science activities that would engage students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Our Year 9/10 students from the two Physical Science classes researched, adapted and created 10-minute activities that would have the K-6 students involved in science using creativity and critical thinking skills.

The senior students created worksheets and activities that were adapted to each of the K-6 age groups. To watch these senior student engaging and leading the K-6 students through the many activities was a very proud moment for me. They showed great leadership by the way they worked and cared with the younger students. Students across all levels have had great learning experiences and all were fully engaged.

A big thank you must be given to all the students involved, the Year 9/10 Physical Science students, Ms Alex Olejniczak and Ms Pat Meaney for supporting this wonderful week.
