Super Saturday!

Saturday 19 November was really a Super Saturday for Dominic College.

Brilliant sunshine welcomed our festive staff and students as they rendezvoused for the 2016 Hobart Christmas Pageant. Great costumed angels, shepherds and elves held up fantastic stars and banners held high on bamboo poles.

Students and staff had worked hard on these over several weeks - thank you, Mrs Hanslow.

But not only was Dominic College in the streets of central Hobart, Mrs Kinne (and her family of helpers) was hosting schools from all over Tasmania in our wonderful Savio Hub, for the Tasmanian Regionals of the First Lego League 'Animal Allies' project championship.

More staff, students and very dedicated parents were on hand to serve sausages, cheer on, and discuss complex robotic strategies with our students and visitors.

In the afternoon, we hosted a lovely visit from a small group of old scholar friends from the Year 10 Class of 1996. The 20-years reunion was on in the evening, organised by Claire Ferri and Sonya Kelley, and a number of the group wanted to visit Dominic College and take up our offer of a guided tour. They were certainly impressed with the facilities, and enjoyed trying out the table tennis tables in the Rua Hub, (although they called it, the Rathole).

You can see some photos on our website galleries - more will be added later.

Super Saturday was terrific!
