News: Bosco House Celebration
Posted by: mtaylor on Monday, August 28, 2006 - 08:47 AM
Bosco

On Friday August 25th. Bosco House gathered to celebrate and give thanks for the opportunities given to us as citizens of Australia: peace, hope, freedom, happiness and justice.

Bosco House sponsors John Nickson Jules who lives in Haiti. Unfortunately, Haiti is a country with few of the blessings of life in Australia. The House sponsorship of John Nickson also includes our collection for gifts for his birthday in November.

This year, we are sending John Nickson a new soccer ball (with pump and accessories), a Bosco cap, school socks and two casual polo-style shirts.

At the celebration, each class brought a candle to the table and presented their part of John Nickson’s birthday present and a card, signed by everyone in the class. Prayers for John Nickson and for the people of Haiti were the central part of the service, which was conducted by the student House Leaders and members of each of the classes.
