Liverpool Academy Partnership

Dominic College is pleased to announce a new community partnership with Liverpool Football Club International Academy Australia. This new partnership marks the first school in Tasmania to offer an exclusive Liverpool FC Academy high-performance soccer school program.

In addition to the soccer program, the partnership with Liverpool FC International Academy will also see the school host a range of community training and holiday programs available to all aspiring players aged 6-16 years in the Glenorchy and surrounding community.

Using Saint John Bosco as our guide and model, we use the Charter for Salesian Schools in Australia to make Dominic College a home that welcomes, a parish that evangelises, a school that prepares for life and a playground where friends meet and enjoy themselves. Offering innovative learning approaches and quality care to student wellbeing, it was clear from the first meeting with Liverpool FC International Academy that our vision, mission and values are clearly aligned to helping students strive for excellence.

In Australia, Liverpool Football Club International Academy is a partnership project between the internationally renowned Liverpool FC and the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE), Australia’s leading independent higher education provider for specialist degrees in Sport, Education, Health and Business.

The vision for the new high-performance soccer program at the College is to utilise the combined resources of Liverpool FC International Academy and ACPE to create an environment that mirrors the one experienced by players on a high-performance pathway in the United Kingdom. It aims to develop players tactical, technical and physical skills along with strengthening social and emotional wellbeing, offering career pathways and boosting life skills of perseverance, communication, leadership and teamwork.

Liverpool FC International Academy’s presence at Dominic College will also provide benefits to staff, Dominic Old Scholars and local coaches and trainers who will receive expert training and accreditation for the partnership.
