A Celebratory Day for The Arts at Dominic College

10 July 2026

The Year 9/10 Dance class competed in the Southern Tasmanian Dance Eisteddfod, earning first place in the Year 9/10 Educational Section. This outstanding achievement reflects the students’ dedication, commitment, and many hours of preparation. The class should be immensely proud of their performance and the way they represented the College. Congratulations to their teachers, Miss Amy Fiddaman and Miss Hannah Lawless, whose expertise, encouragement, and dedication have been instrumental in the students’ success.

In the evening, our recently formed Boys Choir took to the stage as part of the Festival of Voices – Next Gen Voices Event. Under the direction of Mr Brett Budgeon, the students have spent the term rehearsing alongside singers from The Hutchins School and The Friends’ School as members of a combined schools Tenor and Bass Choir. The boys performed two pieces with confidence and enthusiasm, representing Dominic College with pride and professionalism.

We congratulate all students and staff involved on these wonderful achievements and thank them for their commitment to fostering a vibrant and successful Arts community.
