Alternate Camp Program

01 October 2026

The week began with a Gender-Based Wellbeing Development Day, where students participated in activities designed to encourage self-awareness, positive relationships, personal wellbeing and respectful communication. It was a valuable opportunity for students to reflect, connect and develop skills that support their wellbeing both at school and beyond.

On the second day, students took part in an action-packed series of curriculum-based challenges. In English, students explored Shakespeare through engaging activities that encouraged creativity, collaboration and an appreciation of the Bard’s enduring stories and characters. Mathematics challenged students with a problem-solving relay, requiring teams to think strategically, communicate effectively and work together under pressure.

In HaSS, students tackled a mini escape puzzle and trivia games, putting their knowledge and teamwork skills to the test. Science saw students take on creative engineering challenges, including constructing a paper bridge and building a tower using just ten coins. These activities encouraged students to experiment, problem-solve and think outside the box.

In Religious Education, students explored the message of Laudato Si’, considering our responsibility to care for our common home and the world around us. Finally, PE brought plenty of energy and laughter through dance, movement challenges and team games.

The Alternate Program was a wonderful reminder that learning can happen anywhere—and is often at its best when students are collaborating, creating, moving and having fun together.
