Year 5 Tasman Peninsula Camp 2025
Our Year 5 students recently returned from an unforgettable camp filled with exploration, learning, and fun! From historic sites to stunning landscapes and exciting team challenges, the experience had something for everyone.
Students stepped back in time at the Coal Mines, learning about Tasmania’s convict history while exploring ruins and tunnels that told powerful stories of the past.
A stop at the Tasman Arch and Waterfall Bay gave students the chance to take in Tasmania’s dramatic coastal scenery. It was a great moment to connect with nature and capture some impressive views.
Port Arthur was a major highlight. Students explored the historic grounds, cruised across the harbour and took part in a Year 5 Amazing Race-style Challenge around the site. Working in teams, they solved clues and completed tasks that tested both their knowledge and teamwork.
Back at the campsite, the fun continued with group games, challenges, and evening activities that brought the whole year level together in the spirit of friendship and cooperation.
