7-10 Redevelopment

23 February 2026

We are delighted to share an important milestone in the life of our College. After a rigorous and highly competitive process, Dominic College awarded our major 7–10 redevelopment tender to Fairbrother, a building company recognised for its capability in delivering complex educational projects. This partnership marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing outstanding learning environments for our students and staff.

This redevelopment is more than just a construction project. It is a bold statement about our vision for the future. We are investing in facilities that will support innovative teaching, student wellbeing, and long‑term excellence. While this is an exciting time, we also want to be open about the changes and challenges that lie ahead.

Our goal is to match the quality of the learning environment with the quality of education and care our students receive every day. As the staged works progress, students can expect benefits such as:

• More purposeful learning spaces that better support contemporary teaching approaches, group work, and individual study.

• Improved student wellbeing through spaces designed for calm, connection, and inclusion, reinforcing our pastoral care focus.

• Enhanced access to resources and technology, enabling richer, more engaging learning experiences across subjects.

• Safer, more efficient movement across the College with clearer routes and separation of construction zones from student areas.

• Future‑ready facilities that allow our curriculum and co‑curricular programmes to continue evolving over time.

These improvements reflect our intent, ambition, and standards as a College, and they position our students to thrive now and into the future.

• The 2026 school year will look and feel different as we embark on this journey together.

• There will be changes to parking, movement around campus, and the use of some facilities.

• At times, there may be noise, dust, and temporary disruptions to routines.

• Our staff and project partners are committed to working with transparency and respect, and we will keep you informed every step of the way.

Safety Is Our Top Priority

To ensure the safety of all students, staff, families, and visitors, it is essential that everyone follows all instructions and signage for wayfinding around the College. Please pay close attention to any temporary routes, restricted areas, and guidance provided by staff or contractors. Your cooperation is vital in keeping our community safe throughout the redevelopment period.

We understand that change can be challenging, but it is also an opportunity for growth and improvement. We thank you for your ongoing support, adaptability, and trust as we work together to create a brighter future for Dominic College.
