Valdocco Redevelopment Reaches Major Milestones

24 June 2026

In recent weeks, the College community has witnessed major crane lifts on site—an impressive and highly coordinated operation that has brought the scale and ambition of the redevelopment to life. These lifts represent a key turning point, signalling the transition from early works to vertical construction. Notably, they have enabled the formation of the new elevator shaft and contributed to shaping the design and structure of the future middle lawn area, both of which are central to improving accessibility and enhancing student connection across the campus.

At the same time, roof restoration works are now well underway across the eastern side of the old Boys Town building. This important component of the project is helping to preserve and enhance existing structures, ensuring they align with the quality and longevity of the new development.

The redevelopment is increasingly taking shape, with structural elements now in place and the footprint of future classrooms, breakout areas, and student facilities becoming clearly visible. These developments reflect the College’s commitment to providing contemporary, future-focused environments that support both learning and wellbeing.

While construction activity has intensified, safety remains paramount. Clear separation of construction zones, strict site protocols, and ongoing supervision ensure that students and staff can continue to navigate the campus safely. The College appreciates the flexibility and cooperation of the community as these works progress.

As further milestones are reached in the coming months, the Valdocco redevelopment will continue to transform the campus—delivering inspiring spaces designed to support innovation, connection, and excellence for years to come.
