Counsellor and Rector

We are proud of our efforts to support all members of the Dominic College community. We have the vital assistance of a full-time school counsellor, supported by other trained members of staff. All students and families have access.

The counsellor works towards empowering students to become healthy, self-managing, resilient and self-actualising individuals. The counsellor provides support for students and parents/guardians experiencing difficulties at school and helps develop strategies to improve outcomes for students, and to achieve positive changes. Our counselling policy can be found Student Counselling Service Policy.

Also, our College Rector, Fr Bernie Graham SDB, offers particular support to students, families and staff as part of the faith and spiritual development programs. He leads the spiritual and religious life of the College and provides guidance and wisdom on the implementation of our mission as a Catholic school in the Salesian tradition.

Fr Bernie is a member of the College’s K-10 Mission Team and is a member of the Dominic Old Scholar Association Committee. Fr Bernie continues to provide spiritual direction and pastoral care for individuals in our community. He prepares and presides as College masses and liturgies.

We are fortunate as a community to have a Rector of such experience and with such a commitment to the care of all as Fr Bernie Graham.
