Jane began teaching in 1987 at St Cuthbert's and has continued to work in Catholic Education in a variety of classroom positions and leadership roles. At Dominic College Jane has led various innovations to enhance student learning. In particular, the installation of Solar panels and Rainwater tanks, Mamma Margaret Kitchen Garden program, and the Asian Festival. In 2016, Jane was nominated by the Dominic College P&F for an ASG National Excellence in Teaching Awards (NEiTA), along with 1350 other educators from around Australia and New Zealand. After the initial selection process Jane was one of 34 educators chosen to participate in the final selection process. As a result, she was named as one of the top 12 Early Years Educators in Australia and New Zealand for 2016.
