Jonny Shannon speaks

The Dominic College EMPOWER and Pastoral Care Team is excited to announce that Jonny Shannon will be presenting to our students on Tuesday 27 June.

Jonny is one of the most sought after presenters in the Southern Hemisphere. He has completed 2200 presentations to over 370 schools, across Australia, New Zealand and USA on mental health, positive well-being and social media issues for young people.

Throughout the day, our 5-10 student body will be attending the following workshops:

  • Years 5 – 10 Bullying and Online Safety
  • Years 7/8 Mental Health – Anxiety, Stress and Depression
  • Years 9/10 Grit: Positive Well Being.

And at 6.30pm on Tuesday evening, we are proud to announce we will be holding a One Hour Parent Session in the Savio Centre. Jonny will be discussing issues surrounding:

  • Mobile Phones
  • Bullying
  • Cyber Safety
  • Social Media
  • Digital Footprint
  • Phone and Online Addiction
