ACEL Award for Mrs Kumashiro

Congratulations to our Japanese teacher, Mrs Belinda Kumashiro who has been awarded an Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) TAS Teacher Leadership Award for her outstanding initiatives and excellent leadership as a teacher.

Mrs Kumashiro has taken a fledging Japanese language program at Dominic College and developed it into a central part of the school curriculum and culture.

Belinda’s leadership has shaped Japanese at Dominic as an exciting program in which students of all abilities not only participate but thrive.

This highly regarded Award will be presented to Belinda at the 2019 ACEL Awards on Monday evening August 26.
