Commitment shown in 7-10 Cross Country Carnival

Dominic College 7-10 House cross Country Carnival on Friday 27 May was a great day of endeavour and fun.

There were eight races (boys and girls, u/13, u/14, u/15 & open) in three course lengths, each of covered many aspects of our beautiful grounds. All races commenced on the oval, where students cheered their peers, thence up through the College and on to the back bush track, through Tolosa and by the reservoir and winding through our multiple ovals and varied grounds.

The surface was soft but not sloshy, and the weather cold but bracing for some good running conditions.

Many excellent efforts were noted, and some results will be recapped in the newsletter. Ms Millikan and Ms Gilligan applauded the spirit of students who urged their friends on and committed to competing to the best of their ability.

During the afternoon, some tug-of-war action added to the spectacle, and fun.

Well done, Bosco - champions again! Well done to all students for their smiles, even after such exertion during the afternoon.

There are many photos on our website galleries: Mian oval and Round the track..
