Hall of Achievement 2019

Two more distinguished old scholars have been inducted into Dominic College's Hall of Achievement, during the College's end of year awards ceremony, the Years 6-10 Awards. Prof Brett Williams (1987) and Dr Melanie Wuttke (1995) joined students, family, staff and guests for the awards ceremony and spoke to students about their life, their passions and their time at Dominic College.

Christmas Eve Carols and Mass

Everyone is invited to join our old scholars and families in the traditional Christmas Eve Carols and Mass in the Dominic College Chapel.

Dominic College Fair 2019

Despite the occasional shower, the Dominic College Fair was a wonderful success again this year, attracting large crowds to the vibrant and popular event.

Dominic Community Fair P & F Update

Roll up, roll up, the Dominic College Community Fair is nearly here! Next week our Community Fair will be up and running! Our Fair committee has been working overtime this year to bring all students and parents the biggest and best Fair they can. This year’s line-up of stalls and entertainment is looking fabulous and I know that everyone who comes along will have an amazing time.

Rotary Peace Pole Ceremony

100 Peace Poles for 100 Years - As part of the national Rotary Club’s ‘100downunder’ project, students at Dominic College recently held a peace vigil and ceremony to commemorate the installation of a Peace Pole on the school grounds.

Three more reunions for 2019

There are three more reunions planned for 2019, two at Dominic College on 2 November and one in Salamanca on 9 November.

A Talking Heads record!

Year 10 student, Matilda McGovern will be performing for the 4th time in TALKING HEADS this week in the Oratory Space.

DOSA Grand Finals success

The Dominic Old Scholars Association (DOSA) Football Club defeated Richmond in both the Old Scholars Football grand finals on Saturday 21 September. Back to back premierships in Seniors and Reserves! What a day!

Music & Dance Showcase an amazing evening

On Thursday night 19 September, the College held our third annual Showcase of Music and Dance at the Don Bosco Creative Arts Centre at Guilford Young College. Indeed it was a wonderful showcase of performing arts talent from Years 3-10.

60th anniversary of Dominicans in Glenorchy

Last Sunday a larger than usual congregation gathered at St John’s Church in Glenorchy at the 10.00am Mass to celebrate the 60th anniversary since the arrival of the Dominican Sisters in Tasmania.
