Grand Final losses for DOSA in the Old Scholars

Both DOSA reserves and seniors teams lost their grand final games to Hutchins on Saturday 3 September. The players had a great year in 2022 but ultimately fell short at the last hurdle.

Hutchins are congratulated for an outstanding and professional display of strong kicking and marking. You can see photos from the games on the Dominic Web Gallery page: DOSA Grand Finals.

DOSA President, Todd Curtain, paid tribute to the attitudes of members, family and friends throughout the year. 'Coaches Nathan McCulloch and Patrick Carroll have been professional, consistent and inspirational in their roles and having both teams make it to the grand finals is no fluke. It's down to hard work and commitment.'

The seniors had an excellent year finishing top of the ladder in the regular roster and the reserves started slowly but built real momentum as the new players developed and clicked with the older players.

Special mentions to Dominic old scholar Damon Curtain OSFA Team of the Year and kicked 62 goals during the year and to Dominic Year 5 teacher, Mr Ben Crick, for selection in the OSFA Team of the Year as key defender (and who kicked one goal).

'No footy club can survive without a dedicated committee and a volunteer group and at DOSA we have some of the best,' said Todd.

Well done in 2022 to the DOSA players, their families and all the supporters of the club.
