On Wednesday afternoon, the Savio Centre was packed with parents, grandparents and guardians to watch the 2018 K-2 Junior Carols.
The students looked absolutely adorable dressed in a variety of costumes from angels to shepherds and wise men. There was even a donkey or two.
Every class sang with great gusto, belting out traditional Christmas Carols including Joy to the World, O Come Immanuel and I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day. The audience also had opportunities to join in with the singing, with an invitation to sing the traditional carols Angels We Have Heard on High and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing along with our entire K-2 cohort. Thanks to Mr Brett Budgeon for his wonderful piano accompaniment.
The narrators and class readers did a fantastic job of telling the story of the birth of Jesus and describing the life and times of people during that special period of the Christian calendar.
There was not a dry eye in the Savio Centre by the end of the performance thanks to such beautiful singing and enthusiastic participation.
Well done to all our K-2 students on another stunning performance and amazing celebration of Christmas.
