Our P&F is a wonderful asset

Dear Friends

Dominic College’s Parents & Friends Committee under the wonderful leadership of parent and old scholar, Mrs Nicola Rayner continues to be a great presence and a proactive force for good in the Dominic College community.

This week, P&F members generously prepared and served the BBQ for visitors on site for the Catholic primary schools’ Franklin vs Denison Football and Netball matches after school.

Recently they did a fantastic job in holding their Father’s Day Stall which enabled fathers, step-fathers and grandfathers to be acknowledged, gifted and thanked by our students.

Last week, the refreshments at the Music and Dance Showcase at GYC’s Don Bosco Centre were generously prepared and sold by our Parents & Friends.

They are a highly committed team, always supportive of the College initiatives.

This week, the P&F held their monthly meeting in the 7-10 Savio Hub. The meeting enjoyed a great presentation by the Director of Science K-10, Ms Jane Myers on the Year 9-10 Animal Husbandry and the Marine Science Program. The highlight of the evening was visiting the Animal Husbandry Centre and interacting with two of our dedicated students Melanie Cook and Melanie Casboult and their class mates’ much loved animal friends.

The next major initiative of the P&F is the College Community Fair on Friday 3 November. I would encourage parents to connect with the P&F. There are many ways parents can be a part of their efforts and initiatives.
