Song writing and music making workshop

Song Writing and Music Making Workshop: 30 September – 2 October

Do you like song writing? Is this something that you are interested in, but have never tried before? Come along to the Song Writing and Music Making Workshop for three days during the next school holidays.

Hosted here at Dominic, we are expecting 40 students from all Hobart schools to join together to learn and advance their art of song writing.

The workshop will be facilitated by the incredible Darryl Beaton, who is the current Music Director for Delta Goodrem and Jessica Mauboy, and was also the Musical Director of the 2019 season of Dancing with the Stars.

Darryl is Tasmanian born and bred and loves to come back home to share his experiences and talents with young emerging Tasmanian musicians.

Darryl will work alongside Greg Souter, Mark Schmalfuss and Brett Budgeon to deliver three action packed days of song writing, recording and performing. All participating students will perform their songs in a small showcase concert on the evening of Wednesday 2 October.

If you are interested in finding out more information, please contact Katherine Denholm kdenholm@dominic.tas.edu.au or Brett Budgeon brett.budgeon@icloud.com.

Dominic students receive a $25 discount on the $175 fee for the workshop.
