Spooky disco Friday 13th

Our Spooky Disco was held on Friday 13 May, for the fi rst time in The Oratory Space and was a very successful and enjoyable night. We had double the numbers of students for both discos compared to last year so that was fantastic - over 150 for K-2 and 100 for 3-6.

Tom Atkinson (Year 7) did an amazing job as our DJ and was popular with all the students. He had worked hard on the music selection and it was fantastic - he even took requests at the 3-6 Disco. I think he will defi nitely be back next year.

Ticket sales were very strong and we even had a few students turn up on the night wanting to pay and attend. The tuckshop was very popular with all the students with the snacks and glowsticks just adding to the excitement of the night. The costumes and the effort put in by the students to look the part was astounding and really added to the atmosphere. We raised over $2000 from the evening which is a tremendous eff ort by everyone.

Katherine Hewitt and many other teachers generously donated their time to help supervise the night and were very pleased with how the disco was run as there were no major incidents and all students were on their best behaviour. A massive thanks to all parents who stayed and helped supervise their own children, it was a great help to the P&F Committee.

Finally a big, big thank you to all the committee members who helped on the night especially Christine, Sharon, Pam, Anne, Sharyn and Troy - your hard work and dedication really paid off !
