Traffic Management

Overall, the changes to the College’s traffic management for the start of the school year to accommodate the work site of the Creative Arts Building Project have worked well and on most days has improved the efficiency of the after-school pick up rush.

Please be aware that for the rest of the year:

  • The gravel carpark will continue to be a car free zone and utilised solely for bus parking.
  • Parking in the K-4 carpark will continued to be accessed by driving up and around the White House for both morning drop off and afternoon pick-ups.
  • Parents can continue to use the additional parking outside the White House and the carpark in front of the Oratory Space throughout the whole day.

I am disappointed that a small number of families continue to queue or park in the main driveway during the afternoon pick up. This practice is both dangerous and adds to the onsite traffic congestion.

In order to try and improve traffic safety at Dominic College and to discourage inappropriate parking, as of next week Glenorchy City Council parking inspectors will be on site to assist the College.

If you have any questions or major concerns then do not hesitate to contact College Administration for assistance.
