Dominic College teacher wins national 'Teacher of the Year' Award

Mr Mike O’Brien, Director of Creative Arts K-10 and Mrs Jane Doyle, Coordinator of Teaching & Learning K-2 were nominated and short-listed for the 2018 Australian Education Awards for Head of Faculty and Teacher of the Year, respectively.

We are proud of both these leaders and they were recognised for their significant educational achievements last week.

We are thrilled that Jane won the Australian ‘Teacher of the Year.’ This is a wonderful achievement and recognition of Jane’s diverse educational work over many years at Dominic College.

Jane is a passionate leader of learning who has been responsible for many developments at Dominic including the establishment of our K-6 Japanese Language program, Mamma Margaret’s Kitchen Program, our Parent-Teacher Literacy and Numeracy program and Prep data analysis and response planning just to name a few.

Quality teachers are at the core of high achievement of students in any school and we continue to be privileged to have a K-10 teaching team of quality professionals.
