Observation of Easter Rituals

This week, as a community, we have been focused on preparations for one of the most important seasons in the Christian calendar.

Our Chapel has seen many visits by classes in spiritual readiness for Easter. Yesterday our K-6 students entered our annual Stations of the Cross. These were led by our Year 5 and 6 students in beautiful weather.

I extend high commendations to our students for the reverence and still inner presence they brought to this centuries old tradition of witness and devotion.

Our 7-10 students gathered in the Chapel this morning to be part of the ritualization of the Last Supper and washing of the feet. Through our Easter rituals we gain an understanding that forgiveness is complete and hope for the future is certain.

Our reenactments of the passion of Christ enables an entry into the presence of God and reminds us that God comes to each of us through our many daily experiences of the resurrection.

May all in our College community feel the strong and loving presence of God in their lives this Easter. Even in the darkest of times we are never alone, God is with us – strong and constant. Every blessing to all in our community.
