Year 6 farewelled at final K-6 assembly

Year 6 students were fareweled in a beautiful ceremony in the Dominic College Chapel this morning, Monday 14 December.

They lined the entrances to welcome and be congratulated by every other student entering, then starred at the assembly as the College celebrated their achievements and their spirit.

The Principal, Ms Beth Gilligan, praised the 2015 Year 6s as an outstanding group of learners who cared deeply about their school and fellow students.

Many students received additional recognition for their excellent academic and community leadership. Year 5 students played an important part, too as they sung a special song for the Yaer 6s and then took part in the leadership handover as the new captains and vice captains received the symbols of the College and displayed them to the assembly.

Fr Frank Bertagnolli, together with Year 6 teachers, Mrs Moulton and Mrs Cunningham, presented each student with a personalised graduation candle.

You can see many photos on our website galleries: Year 6 farewelled and Year 6 candles.

What a wonderful group of young people! We hope they enjoy the rest of their celebrations today, including the Mass, the BBQ and the disco!
