Dominic College 2018 Creative Arts Festival

The official opening is from 6pm on Wednesday 29 August, and you must RSVP to farcher@dominic.tas.edu.au for this event.

Everything is free to enter and view, but the drama performances of our semi-updated rendering of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" must be booked through the ticketing website Trybooking: Book your tickets here.

There are two public performances, in the Peacock Theatre, Salamanca Arts Centre:
Thursday 30 August 7.30pm
Friday 31 August 7.30pm

Director of Creative Arts, Mike O'Brien, says "Much Ado About Nothing" will be at times moving and always very entertaining. 'The student cast is large and the talent on display impressive. This is such a fun production!'

Beth Gilligan, Dominic College Principal, recommends all families try to see the show. 'The school community and the cast of "Stories From Suburban Road" two years ago at our last festival, recall the drama performance as a wonderful experience, a highlight of their time at Dominic College. Don't miss this one!' Secure your free tickets: Book your tickets now.

In another innovation, there will be a special version of our Talking Heads given by old scholars on Saturday 1 September at 7.30pm. For many years now senior drama students have undertaken publicly performed monologues, to challenge their theatrical skills and hone their public entertainment experience. Now we are bringing back some of our favourite performances from students past! Secure your free tickets: Book your tickets now.

You can download some information about the exhibition and the shows here: Opening Invite, Information Cards.

There will be Masterclasses for students from Dominic College, in Art and Music throughout the Festival, as well as some matinees for school students.

At 3pm on Saturday in the Long Gallery will be a very special Music Soiree, with choirs, instrumentalists and Masterclass students performing. No bookings necessary!
