The College provides a series of key orientation and transition events to assist in the smooth transfer into the Dominic College community for new students.
Information on these events is below and dates for these events can also be found on the College calendar.
Year 7 House Orientation Evening is an important Transition Event at Dominic College. This event assists students in transitioning into our 7-10 community.
The first occasion is an evening orientation into their House family and the second is a full day of orientation to our 7-10 environment.
The event will be held in the Savio Centre. Following a brief information session students and parents will be divided into House groups on the evening with their new House Coordinator and the House Staff Team. They will learn about important information and aspects of the way we operate in order to be ready for a smooth entry into high school. Students and parents will then have an opportunity to meet their Pastoral Teachers. The Pastoral Teacher acts as the first point of contact for both students and parents.
All students entering Year 7 in 2022 will come and spend a day as a Year 7 student, participating in various activities and making new friends.
The Kindergarten Parent Information Evening gives prospective parents of Kindergarten students the chance to meet Kindergarten staff and learn more about what to expect for the start of their child's education.
Orientation Day for new students entering into other year levels at Dominic College in 2022 will be held on the below date.
Students get to experience a day at Dominic College with their future year group so that they can familiarise themselves with the facilities and staff at the College before they commence.
