Dominic College and GYC

I had the wonderful pleasure on Wednesday night of attending the Guilford Young College Ceremony of Commendation. Awards were presented to students in celebration of their Academic Achievements and their outstanding contributions to all aspects of the College during 2015. Year 12 students from 2015 are invited to return to the College to receive their awards along with a number of current Year 12 students who were also award winners for last year.

Inspiring event for Women's Day

Nearly 200 girls, their mothers and grandparents, teachers, old scholars and community leaders, joined hands at Dominic College, to help the women of the world on International Women's Day, Tuesday 8 March. The Dominic College International Women's Day breakfast has become an annual highlight for the community, and the numbers and spirit at the breakfast were both outstanding.

​We have received the sad news tonight that Fr Elio Proietto SDB ( our first Principal of Dominic College) passed away Tuesday evening 23 February 2016 at about 8.45pm. Dominic College is deeply indebted to Fr Elio for his vision, dedication, commitment and great love of young people in forging how Dominic College was established and what we have become.

Our special guest speaker at our 2016 International Women’s Day Breakfast will be Kate Talbot Smith who has been well-recognised for her significant outreach to others, locally and globally. An Old Scholar of Dominic College, Class of 1995, Kate is an inspiring woman of service who has had to face her own adversities and deal with life, when she tragically lost her husband.
