Music and Dance Showcase Returns

The Music and Dance Showcase provides Dominic students with the opportunity to present some of the larger scale Performing Arts offerings to the school community. As with the Creative Arts Festival, the aim of the Showcase is to show the work that students are undertaking as part of their course work in Music and Dance, as well as in the co-curricular life of the College. The dance pieces developed for the Southern Tasmanian Dance Eisteddfod will be performed. The Senior Choir, The Year 5/6 Choir, and the Valdocco Vocal Ensemble, along with College Band, the Stage Band, the Clarinet Ensemble, the Flute Ensemble, and the Taiko Drum Troupe will all be presenting work.

This year, the Showcase will also mark the 75th Anniversary of the Salesians arrival in Australia. Several Salesians will be our special guests at the Don Bosco Performing Arts Centre for the Showcase. The date to keep free is Thursday 5 August. Although the seating capacity of the Don Bosco Performing Arts Centre still has some restrictions, each student performing will be entitled to two tickets and audience members will need to register with the ‘Check in TAS App’. Tickets will soon be available to book through Trybooking.
