The Annual General Meeting of the Parents and Friends Community will be held on Wednesday 18 November 2015, upstairs in Grantleigh at 7pm for a prompt 7.30pm start.

We welcome new people to attend and to join. There will be two new executive positions available at the AGM, Executive Assistant and Events Coordinator.

The role of Executive Assistant, will be to support the President, Vice President, Events Coordinator, Treasurer and Secretary when needed, including taking the minutes of the meeting for the Secretary or delivering the financial statement for the Treasurer if they are unable to attend.

The role of Events Coordinator, will be to oversee the fundraising events for the year. These will include the biennial walkathon, the Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls, the Easter Raffle, the Disco and contributing to the Dominic Community Fair.

All the executive positions including President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer as well as general committee members will become vacant and anyone can apply for these or the new positions. We hope to see you there. Please contact us if you would like more information.

Win tickets to spend at the fair - $60 up for grabs!
Grocery day is being held on Tuesday 3 November and Wednesday 4 November outside the Kinder rooms from 8.15am till 9am. For every barcoded item bought in, you go into a draw to win one of two lots of $30 pre-sale tickets. Increase your chances by bring more than one item, multiple items means multiple chances to win!

Can you help?
We need volunteers to offer their help at the Fair. Please contact us on the parentsandfriends@dominic.tas.edu.au email if you can spare any time on fair day. We are also still in need of small wrapped lollies and little items to give away as prizes on the various stalls. The lucky dip stall, playdoh stall and lucky jar stall are also in need of some donations. If any parents can help out with these items it would be very appreciated.

Food and Stalls you will enjoy at the Fair.
There is a great line up of stalls and entertainment for you to enjoy at the fair. Invite your friends, relatives and neighbours to come along and enjoy a great afternoon.

Food stalls will include hot chips, pies, mini pizza, nachos, gourmet hamburgers, sausage sizzle, Cam’s famous curry and rice, Saigon Express Asian food, pancakes, pizze fritte, ice cream buffet, spiders, Devonshire tea, sandwiches, cakes and biscuits, fairy floss and snow cones.

If you’re thirsty there will be a variety of cold drinks available as well as an alcohol stall for adults only. Coffee and tea will also be available. Mamma Margaret’s kitchen pantry will be there selling homemade jams and prebake biscuits and slice.

Classroom stalls include the peddler parade (Years K-2 come dressed up for your chance to win a $30 voucher from Toyworld), lucky jars, kiss biscuits, show bags, paint sticks, lolly bags, lolly guess, spices, juggling balls, coin toss, ping plonk, hoopla, lucky sticks, lucky dips, arcade games, lucky ducks, playdoh, fudge, spat-a-student, footy toss, dunking machine, fairy kingdom, tattoos, face painting, crazy hair, treasure hunt, plants, flowers and helium balloons.

The Sands Family Circus will be coming from the beginning of the fair, to entertain everyone with their amazing juggling and acrobatics. Performances will be free and show times will be advertised. Other entertainment includes the Gee Whizzer, boot camp, pony rides, laser skirmish, Michael Amazing, karate demonstrations, jumping castle, and Tas Reptilia.

We also have Discovery ELC coming with activities, photo booth, fire engine, chocolate wheel, major raffle, silent auction, treasure stall, CBA and more!
